Scam Alert: Harry Potter in the Kindle Store
Just a quick warning note to not get suckered into buying 3 Harry Potter books that were added to the Kindle store yesterday. I'm guessing these have to be illegal copies. I downloaded a sample of one of them before I wrote this post (thought I should have some sort of proof before labeling these as illegal) and my guess is the book was converted to .mobi from a .txt file and uploaded to the Kindle store as a self published work. I'm sure the book publishers are already aware of this, but just in case I thought I would also mention it here to raise awareness. Plus I know some of you have ties to the publishers and can bring it to their attention in case they haven't yet noticed this. The same person has uploaded some other works that also look like copyright infringement.

I'll be happy to retract the "scam/illegal" label for these if someone thinks these have a legitimate reason to be in the Kindle store. But I think the chances these are ok are %0.00000001
Edit (12/21): Looks like someone noticed..the books are now gone as of Wednesday morning.
