Fantasy Series Ending in 2013
According to Amazon, these are the books being published in 2013 that will conclude a series. I thought it might be nice to have a master list of all the series that are ending this year. Details for the 2nd half of 2013 are pretty sketchy, so most of the books below are for the first half of 2013. Also, if you think I have incorrectly listed a series as being complete this year (or I am missing a series conclusion), let me know and I'll update this post. Sometimes its hard to figure out if a series is truly ending/ended. I'll try to update this page a couple of times a month to keep it up to date.
Note: the list of series completed in 2012 has been archived and can be found here.
January 2013
-A Memory of Light (Wheel of Time) by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson
-Power Under Pressure (The Society of Steam, Book Three) by Andrew P. Mayer (the author's website lists the series as a trilogy)
February 2013
-The Night of the Swarm by Robert V.S. Redick (concludes the Chathrand Voyage..this was originally due in May 2012, but has been pushed back several times now)
March 2013
-The Last Threshold by R.A. Salvatore (4th and final book of the Neverwinter Saga)
April 2013
-Necessary Evil by Ian Tregillis (3rd and final book in the Milkweed Triptych trilogy)
-Blood of Dragons (Rain Wilds Chronicles, Book 4) by Robin Hobb. I believe this is the last book in the Rain Wilds series.
-A Tale of Tales by David Farland (9th and last book in the Runelords series)
-The Exiled Blade by Jon Courtenay Grimwood (I believe this is the last book in The Assassini series, though I'm not 100% sure yet).
May 2013
-Magician's End: Book Three of the Chaoswar Saga by Raymond E. Feist (this book ends the Chaoswar Saga, as well as the entire series, which is now called The Riftwar Cycle).
-Shadows of Falling Night by S.M. Stirling (end of the Shadowspawn trilogy)
-Shield of Sea and Space by Erin Hoffman (final book in the Chaos Knight trilogy)

August 2013
-Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence (last book in the Broken Empire trilogy)
September 2013
-Prince Thief by David Tallerman (I can't tell if this is the last book in the series, but I don't believe I have seen an Angry Robot series go beyond 3 books. So I will list it here for now, until I get more information)
October 2013
-Prince of Lies by Anne Lyle (concludes the Night's Masque trilogy)
-The Last Dark: The climax of the entire Thomas Covenant Chronicles by Stephen R. Donaldson
-The Night Eternal by Guillermo Del Toro & Chuck Hogan (concludes The Strain Trilogy)

As for Order of the Scales hard to say; some stuff is quite emphatically ended, but some other stuff is actually more of a beginning
Let’s not forget Mark Newton Legends of the Red Sun (book 4 is in July and the title has been leaked before its official announcement that is supposed to come end of January); do not have that book yet but it’s a huge asap
Cold Steel ends Kate Elliott’s trilogy too (September)
Master of Heathcrest Hall ends Galen Beckett (aka Mark Anthony) trilogy in March (another huge asap)
Felix Gilman’s duology also ends in Ris of ransom City (at least I believe so)
Grail of the Summer Stars by Freda Warrington may or may not end the author’s superb series (it’s book 3 too)
Paula Volsky, I mean Paula Brandon has book 2 in February after book 1 in October so her trilogy may also end late in the year but not sure there
Paul Kearney also may finally end his Sea Beggars series in the fall

Thanks for the extra info, Liviu. It’s always appreciated. I usually don’t do much with the blog over the weekend, but I’ll get your info added to the page early next week.

Shadow’s Master is the conclusion and the new series is completely different.
From my interview: Do you have any plans to go back to the Shadow Saga now that it’s finished, whether it’s sequels, prequels or novellas?
The short answer is: not at this time. I think there’s still a lot to explore with Caim and Kit and Josey (and Hubert, too), but I’m a one-project-at-a-time kind of guy and all my energy is going into this new book.

Thanks for that…I didn’t realize I had forgotten to remove my comments from that one. I should probably remove the comments to all the books from Jan through May.
