Paul Kearney’s The Monarchies of God: New E-Book Editions
The Monarchies of God series by Paul Kearney has been available for awhile now in 2 omnibus editions: Hawkwood and the Kings: The Collected Monarchies of God (Volume One...$6.29) and Century of the Soldier: The Collected Monarchies of God (Volume Two $7.99). While searching for e-book deals, I noticed that the books were now on sale individually for $3.99 each. This bring the total price for all 5 close to $20, instead of just over $14 for the 2 omnibus editions. I wonder what the purpose was for releasing the books now, individually? Do some people prefer single books to omnibus editions, even in digital format (for some weird reason, I do prefer single e-books to omnibus e-books)? Or maybe for those who prefer cheap e-books, they can now feel better because each book is under $4? Whatever the case, the links to the books are below:
-Hawkwood's Voyage (The Monarchies of God #1)
-The Heretic Kings (The Monarchies of God #2)
-The Iron Wars (The Monarchies of God #3)
-The Second Empire (The Monarchies of God #4)
-Ships From The West (The Monarchies of God #5)

I bought books 1, 2, and 4 some years back at Worldcon in London. I never got around to tracking down #3, and I’m not sure I realized there was a 5th, so anyway, I haven’t read them yet even because I never got around to it.
So this could be good for me…though reading this makes me think “no, don’t I just want to track down the used old copies of 3 and 5?”
Hmm. For someone else though, perfect, especially if someone had, say, the first few and wanted the next couple.
